kekendo/2 under the microscope
The second piece of furniture from the kekendo series supports teams especially when graphically recording ideas. The upper work surface can be folded back manually via a lateral locking mechanism and thus it opens up into a vertical presentation area. Pieces of paper or objects to be presented can be fastened to the built-in magnetic strip via >> magnets (for example fonko).
kekendo is Mandinka and means: „keep fighting, don’t give up“.
A holder for a paper roll can be found inside the lateral drawer. This paper can be rolled out as far as desired, it can be used for drawing and is also suited for a workflow allowing for about-turns thus supporting the unfolding of creatives impetus. Thanks to the handy push-to-open function the paper roll hides back elegantly into the piece of furniture. Additional paper rolls can be stored upright in the lower side compartments of the furniture.
Pencils, scissors and other utensils can be stored inside the compartments of the front drawer.
From the numerous ideas generated you can eventually select one and further develop and turn it into a model at >> kekendo/3.
The mobile kekendo pieces of furniture are especially appealing as a series for they perfectly complement one another regarding their functions. They support teams during innovation processes by covering and enhancing the phases of understanding, ideation & prototyping of the design thinking method amongst others. They are generally suitable for working situations requiring flexible thinking and creativity. In Mandinka kekendo means: „keep fighting, don’t give up“, so hang on!
Purchasing a whole series is a good catch. It is more inexpensive compared to the prices of the individual pieces of furniture (discount of approx. 5%).
How can exchange and dialogue help give shape to a product? And what do collective design processes look like when there is no common language that everyone masters to the same degree?
You can read everything on the subject in our Bulletin No.1 in which we focus on cooperation. (Some texts are translated into english.) We send you a print edition with your order.
